can you honestly tell me that vieira is worth 150k a week now?
Fair enough. But that's a special circumstance, on the whole wages are pretty spot on.
No. No-one deserves that amount of money, whether they run the country or kick a piece of leather about, when there's so many others going hungry.

cheating is defined by intentions.
His intention was to injure the player to the point he couldn't continue and a less able replacement would have to be brought on. (taking away 1 of 3 substitutions) Not to mention the games the injured player missed subsequent to the injury, as well as money paid for a replacement.

Cheating!

Headbutting, fouling, diving, handballing are all cheating.
head butting yes
(intentional) fouling yes
diving yes
(intentional) handballing yes

but not all hard takles and hand balls are designed to hurt are deliberate

Can you lot ever just stick to the topic at hand.

Things irrelevant to the thread and the discussions within it:

Whether Keane's challenge was cheating
Starvation in Africa
Players feigning injury
Player wages
etc.

Just stick to the topic of discussion and respond with something significant.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Huh? Are challenges that are pre determined with the intention of inflicting pain not intentional fouls?

You idiot, Halaand being replaced was compensated for by Keane's sending off, so you're saying Keane chated by disadvantaging his own team? Seriously, don't even respond to this post, I can't be bothered educating you lot.

having eyes for the ball and going in hard to win the ball is not deliberately trying to hurt someone
keane on haaland was deliberabtly to hurt him

"Deserves" doesn't have much to do with it sadly, I seriously doubt whether Vieira needs the money anyway, he's only moved to get into the World Cup squad. It's demand and supply mate, he has a talent that makes him valued, therefore he earns more.

That wasn't his intention. His intention was purely to injure Haaland as badly as possible, he didn't give a shit about consequences, it was blind revenge, there's a famous bit in his autobiography as he describes the incident.

what as henrys cheating got to do with roy keane
Roy Keane was a far bigger cheat than Henry, yet the latter is hated for his cheating in Ireland.
millions of people around the world saw that hand ball and i can pretty much say that henry is hated in a lot of countries in nearly every continent

Please don't speak again if you think Henry is worse than this.
i dont ever remember saying that what henry did is worse than keanes tackles on haaland.henry cheated a nation out of the world cup.keane ended someones career.one is cheating the other isnt.

As for Woodbine, Thierry Henry was a better player and a better man than Roy Keane.

i dont ever remember saying he wasnt.i truly despise henry for what he did against us.i like keane but he has been a prick the last few years.
OMG WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?! HOW IS BREAKING SOMEONE'S LEG NOT CHEATING!?!?!?
Not exactly cheating is it...he disadvantaged his own team by getting sent off, it's pure evil though, that's what it is.
Of course it's cheating, he's breaking the laws of the game. If he hadn't been spotted it would have advantaged his team as they'd have had a first choice play substituted, just as if Henry hadn't spotted he'd have recieved a yellow and wasted a load of time...
It wasn't cheating because he knew full well he was about to be sent off. Keane didn't try cheating anyone.
For me intending to seek an advantage from it doesn't have much to do with it, cheating is just playing outside the laws of the game.
I'm flattered that you've been enjoying my fine posting spree lately, but I can confidently say you are wrong. Keane didn't cheat, cheating is only cheating when said player is trying to seek an unfair advantage.
