Success is winning championships. It is nothing less than that. And when you win a championship - and we will - success isn't measured or accomplished by winning once.

No way Barca win the CL this season. And English teams will still progress further than their Spanish opposite numbers, as they usually do. In fact, Chelsea should have been against Man Poo again last season.

Sure La Liga has immense talent, and abundant technical skill, but the physicality of a poof that's just had his nails manicured. On balance of technical skill, strength, speed, and physicality, the EPL is the best league on planet earth...hence everyone wants to play in it. The only thing fvcking the EPL is the 50% tax bracket that money loving footballers baulk over.

And two little known clubs called Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Next summer could witness a massive change in the football balance of power. Cesc and Vidic to Barca, Torres to anywhere hot. English teams are fucked.
You mean the balance of power that has the Champions League holders, the best team in the world, the best player in the world and the world's most expensive player already in Spain?
Well yeah, but I'm sure you'll agree that the English sides at present are more than capable of holding their own in the CL. If the above changes occur, they may start failing to get out of the group stages with frightening regularity.

Scholes

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

I hope so, I'd like to see Madrid - United / Chelsea this year though. Pellegrini actually looks like he has an idea of what he's doing, he was good tactically tonight - they just need to work on their finishing. WOuld be great to see an all Spanish final at the Bernabeu.

Madrid - United would be a great spectacle, although I wouldn't know who to support TBH, Ronaldo vs Wayne n all. I don't like 'all national' finals, just seems a bit boring in a European competition.

If Real and Utd were in the final and Ronaldo scored, reckon he would celebrate?

I sort of agree, but I just think an all Spanish Final has the potential to be killer. United - Chelsea was a great game and tonight's Barca - Madrid game was top quality I thought. But yeah, I can sort of see your point, Barca - Milan is the dream. Ronaldinho v Messi n all.
