Go and play football with a bunch of 10 year olds, and that would probably be the equivelent of what it was like being Thierry Henry in a match. He was both technically and physically above anybody else. He would score every goal there is to score apart from a tap in. I remember that game against Leeds where he scored 4, it really looked like he was some freak of nature, to be that quick, that strong, that technically gifted and that intellegent is something i doubt we'll ever see again. Name me one player from any era that had all those gifts? 02/03, he played 33 league games, he scored 24 & set up 24. Season after he acheived pretty similar stats.Never seen a better player then him. People will mention Zidane & Luis Ronaldo, but it was almost as if he took all the best qualities of those 2 players and rolled them into one. Almost all of his goals were beautiful, he didn't do tap ins. He could run past 4 or 5 players and score, he could lash one in from 30 yards out, and he could produce something out of nothing, and he did it on a regular basis

Henry is without doubt the best player thw premiership has seen, but best ever i think not, he's not even france's best ever player. I would put zidane above him and maybe even platini, in terms of worldwide pele, maradona, r9 were all better and all produced for their countries at a world cup Henry never did

Youtube only focuses on people good moments and good games, and if your sad enough to watch 226 of his goals then of course your gonna think he was the best player ever, his not even in the top 3 players at BArcelona, and in my opinion if your going to be classed as the best player ever you have to boss at every club until you retire, for me that man is Zinediine Zidane

As much as United fans like to go on about how hate clouds people's vision when it comes to Ronaldo the same applies with Henry but on a larger scale becuase he was obviously better.

Still I don't get how people can rate the likes of Shearer on his level. The season with 32 goals and 24 assists just shows how much class he had. What striker do you know who could while scoring 30+ goals get 24 assists? You can name strikers all day long and I doubt they would have done it in the Prem at the time.

Easily up there with the very best. Easily the best to play in the English league, hands down.

Zidane didn't "boss" anything until he got to '98, and stopped bossing in '03. Henry started bossing in 01, and stopped in 06. Zidane didn't boss anything from 04-06 (Save for World Cup 06) and towards his last years he wasn't anything more then a burden on his own team.

You could've had a point but you made a fucking awful choice in Zidane, and by saying he's the best ever you pretty much contridicted everything you said

Ignore Phil, not only is he thick as shit but he barely watches football. I made this thread 2 minutes into watching all his goals, so your point about being influenced by that is a shit one.

Players don't need to boss two clubs, as a Barca player he is quite a way past his peak, not that it's stopped him increasing in stature even more. Henry is very special, I can't believe MANYOU prefers Dennis.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart
