Aquilani is not better than Alonso mate, come on Phil.

You're just in the state I was in last season when we replaced Hleb with Nasri.

They seriously belive Liverpool will match last season, after losing one of theyre most influential players....
Aquilani > Alonso,

He runs more, Better final ball, gets in the box more

Alonso beats him at passing thats it

And they obviously dont think we will match last season as we are 3rd faves and last season we come 2nd

What a shit game of top trumps, you don't need Alonso to be box-to-box, and passing is the most important aspect of the game.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

Aquilani isnt a long way off alonso with passing and if he gets in the box more and has a better final ball thats equals more goals = more wins

And Probably DAg lol but i can only hope

why do fans always say that once a player leaves that the replacement is automatically better

aquilani is not better than alonso, alonso's job wasnt to get in the box, thats what gerrard was for

aquilani may be better going forward, but if hes to do alonso's job, he needs to boss the midfield

Yes but Gerrard isnt box to box anymore as he is higher up the pitch so we need someone who can do both and in Aquilani we have that

Just been through the odds, almost all of them have us at 8 or 10, which is pretty much fair in my eyes. Odds for top scorer: http://www.betfair.com/?rfr=63&mi=100590493&ex=1

Theo looks worth putting a fiver on, considering you'd get £1000 pounds if he did win

Like people have said, there is a huge IF hanging over Aquilani's head and whether he can stay fit. Also, fair enough the bookies have Liverpool at 3-1 in third but thats almost the same as Chelsea and United and for the odds to be so minute between them suggests the bookies think Liverpool will be there or there abouts like they were last season, where as in my opinion they wont do aywhere near as good

and the depth of there side is immence
Completely agree. We need to strengthen the midfield with 1 first choice player to partner Denilson and Cesc though. But our depth is fantastic I think.
Your depth is absolutely attrocious in every area except creative attackers. Your first 11 is 2 players away from being competitive but depth, come on. Anyway to odds, I'm going with Chelsea and Utd to take 2nd, but then thats what I thought last year!

Passing, yes and what was Alsono's purpose in the team? To act as the playmaker and what does the playmaker do? Pass. Aquilini is a good player but it completly changes the chemistry of your midfield.
