I hope it pays off for them, it's a big risk, but from what I've seen, the guy is incredibly talented - particularly long range shots - if he stays fit, motivated and in form (a big ask true) then it may well turn out to be money well spent.

Winner.

This could be a brillaint signing as he definately has the potential i have full belief if he stays fit he will be brilliant! , BUT and its a big BUTT, if he doesnt then Rafa will get crucified and we will not win the league..I have always liked him though and i dont see anyone out there who we could realistically get who is better. hopefully we will sign one more player

Havent i already explained that? De Rossi played deep behind Aquilani.. We needed a replacement for Alonso not mascherano.. Aquilani could prove a perfect link between maschy and Stevie as his final ball is exceptional when on form

Massive risk, italian football is much slower and less physical than the prem and he was forever injured in seria a. From what i've seen of him he's very much hit and miss, and he will take time to adapt anyway

Because De Rossi doesn't want to leave, it would cost more than 5M to get him, and Aquilani is the better player.

Rafa on Aquilani and ALonso

"You cannot compare these 2 Players, Alonso Likes to drop deep and Aquiliani is a great passer of the ball"
