Manchester City are in talks with ASDA the supermarket in a bid to provide a dirty sequel to their giant Carlos Tevez poster in Manchester City centre. The club are to introduce branded plastic carrier bags into 16 of the supermarket's top stores, each with a slogan such as "This is our city" and "Pure Manchester". ASDA have reluctantly agreed to the idea after Morrison’s, Co-op and Spar all feared of losing customers over the bags. City held talks today in ASDA'S headquarters in Leeds where Chief executive Andy Bond agreed to the idea. Andy became a Blues fan whilst working in the city during the 90’s; he worked as a marketing manager for the Hopkinson’s Group, one of British Gas's suppliers. Manchester City's Brand & Marketing officer David Pullan said "If all goes well, the bags and wine carriers should be in 16 stores by October". The bags are thought to be higher quality than ASDA’S existing bags and come in white & Blue. |

Pathetic. United piss all over City in terms of football. If they carry on this campaign of trying to embarass United then they will lose the little remaining dignity and respect they have within the footballing world. |

?? Think you've misinterpreted things. We're just using carrier bags with City on them. Nothing to do with United. The whole poster campaign has been blown out of all proportions, it was one poster and it ended there, nothing to do with United. Funny how nobody ever mentions the banner that United have up at OT saying how many years it's been since we last won anything... |
