The Scotsman feels City are becoming too big for their boots...

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has stated that a poster of Carlos Tevez that has appeared in Manchester shows Manchester City's arrogance.

Tevez made the move across Manchester from United to City in a deal worth Ł25 million, after spending two years on loan at Old Trafford from Media Sports Investments, the company that owned him.

The City fans were obviously delighted with this purchase and a poster has now been erected to celebrate the event.

The poster in question shows Tevez, along with the slogan 'Welcome to Manchester', and the Red Devils' boss feels that the poster is sheer arrogance of behalf of City.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Ferguson said, "It is like one of those war adverts - Your Country Needs You.
"Arrogance comes in lots of different ways. I think it is daft."

The Scotsman feels that the City fans have always been jealous of United's success since he arrived from Aberdeen in 1986.

"They were having a go at Manchester United," he added.

"They have had a problem ever since I came down here - Manchester United.

"You have to understand, when they get their moment to grasp for and to seize for, they are going to take it."

City have spent big so far on new players this summer, bringing in the likes of Tevez, Gareth Barry, Emmanuel Adebayor and Roque Santa Cruz.

Very true really, but as often is the case with the smaller half yes that does make sense of a rivalry, they're the most obsessed.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

:hysterics:

Fantastic poster. You can tell he's worried about them when he reacts like this.

Winner.

Welcome to Manchester, my name is Carlos Tevez, I am an animal, my hygiene is non-existent, my touch is heavy and my attitude stinks, like me.

Yeah, SAF is really worried City are going to knock United out of the top 4 actually, else he wouldn't be coming out with this shit this early. He is really threatened.

Yep, that's the spot. Even if it isn't us knocking them out of the top 4 he's scared we'll finish above them. Usually these mind games come out once United slip behind in the title race, so to bring them out before the season shows he's scares that United are slipping in terms of stature and power in the market. Our presence is getting to him.

Ferguson said: 'It's City isn't it? They are a small club, with a small mentality. All they can talk about is Manchester United, that's all they've done and they can't get away from it.

'It is a go at us, that's the one thing it is. They think taking Tevez away from Manchester United is a triumph. It is poor stuff. I thought he would go to City a long time ago.'

Presence, its not a matter of presence because in that sense City are light years behind Utd. It's certain that something has irked Fergie, it may be as simple as him being annoyed by their movements in the transfer market, it may be that he's fearful. Whats certain though is that City is on his mind and thats not been the case for the last 20 years. That represents at least a modicum of success if nothing else.
