Already better technically than Eto'o, but if he goes on to do as well for the club as Eto'o has he'll be held as a club legend for many years to come. |

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has launched a scathing attack on Italian football, claiming he was "fed up" with life in Serie A. Ibrahimovic was unveiled as a Barcelona player earlier today - following an exchange deal between Inter and Barca involving Samuel Eto'o and Alexander Hleb. The Sweden striker's agent revealed the 27-year-old had been considering leaving Inter for the past year, something Ibrahimovic was all to eager to confirm. "When did I start thinking about moving somewhere else? In December, before Christmas," he was reported as saying on Tuttomercatoweb.it. "The more I saw Barcelona play, the more I wanted to leave. "Moreover, I was fed up of Italy, of Milan, of your football: you play badly, there's too much stress. "In short, I needed something else. "Did Inter pay me more than any other footballer? No comment." Edited by Homer, Jul 28 2009, 02:29 AM.

Barcelona’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic Out For Four Weeks After Hand Operation The striker may have been ushered in on Monday, but he has already been ruled out for a month... Zlatan Ibrahimovic will not make his Barcelona debut on the tour of the United States and may not play until late August after undergoing surgery on his broken hand. The Swede arrived at Camp Nou in a blaze of glory on Monday with 60,000 supporters attending his presentation, but they will have to wait some time to see him make his debut. During his medical, Barcelona's doctors examined the injury that he sustained while playing in a friendly for Inter against Chelsea recently, and decided a small operation was needed, according to Sport. “We took a good look at his broken hand and it’s a break at the base of the second metacarpal on his left hand," Doctor Ricard Pruna was quoted as saying by the Blaugrana's official website. "We’ll have to try and fix it so he can be back to playing as soon as possible." Though the procedure was carried out on Tuesday morning, the player will not recover in time to play in the United States, but he will travel with them when the squad leaves on Wednesday. Ibrahimovic's debut could be against Manchester City in the Trofeu Joan Gamper on August 19, or could even be put back to August 23, when Barca play Athletic Club in the second leg of the Spanish Super Cup. |

Gutted that he won't be playing against City, really was looking forward to seeing him against us. I'd have loved to have seen him destroy Toure... |

![]() Winner. "If I go to Anfield and someone puts the ball into the box and Carragher hammers it out of play the fans applaud. At Camp Nou you would never be applauded for that." - Xavi | |
