WAHOO!!!

Ibra techincally is a superior player to Etoo but Barca will be slightly worse off without him because there are alot of things that Etoo does that Ibra would never do but anyway thats not my concern. Im just happy to see a world class striker like Zlatan join the La Liga forces and it will be great to watch him week in week out and really admire a genius at work. WELCOME TO LA LIGA ZLATAN!!!

Barcelona director Joan Oliver has announced the deal that will see Samuel Eto'o join Inter, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic head to Barcelona is all wrapped up. All that remains are the players signatures

Barcelona have confirmed an accord has been reached between both clubs and with the players. The Blaugrana have also hinted that Ibrahimovic may be unveiled on Monday.

Oliver, who left Inter's offices after completing the deal told Sky Sport Italia, "The deal between both clubs is done. That goes for [Aliaksandr] Hleb too."

The Barcelona director has been thrashing out final details in Milan, and he will now return to the Spanish city in order to present Ibrahimovic with the transfer documents.

One final brick needs to be laid for the deal to become concrete and that is the signature block.

Barcelona's Txiki Begiristain has also confirmed the deal is in place and Ibrahimovic needs to put pen to paper.

"We have an agreement with the player and with Inter, and we are now preparing the documents," Begiristain told Sport.es.

"The transfer paper is in Milan as our directors there are negotiating it with Inter. We are trying to do things as fast as possible and he [Ibrahimovic] could be unveiled on Monday."

It is suggested both clubs will announce the deal as official once both men sign and rubber stamp their respective contracts.

State Of Play

If you're having trouble keeping up with one of this summer's more confusing sagas, here is the exact situation, correct at time of this article's publication. Be sure to check the latest article for the latest updates!

With the deal complete, all that remains are the players signatures. This is likely to happen between now and Monday once Barcelona have the transfer documents from Inter.

Inter will receive between €48m and €52m for Ibrahimovic. The exact details of the transfer are likely to surface on Monday.
Monday is the day both teams are expected to announce the deal as official.
Contrary to earlier reports, Aliaksandr Hleb arrives in Milan as part of the Maxwell to Barcelona deal. The Belarus midfielder played no part in the Eto'o - 'Ibra' transfer.
Italian sources claim Jose Mourinho is delighted with the outcome of the long-running transfer.

It'll be funny to see Ibrahimovic star in a league that people watch...might see a few people eating their words then after passing judgment on a player they've seen twice.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

Get the sheep in! Can't wait to see him in La Liga murdering defences, playing well in the CL and getting all the plaudits and recognition he deserves...

Joining the league with the most exposure can only be good for him but everybody knows what Ibra can do so it wont be a huge surprise if he shines at Barca.

Inter Milan coach Jose Mourinho believes the club's fans will much prefer Samuel Eto'o to Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The star strikers are set to swap clubs after Inter and Barcelona agreed a deal which will see the Catalans also pay cash and loan Belarus midfielder Alexander Hleb to the Italian side.

Mourinho believes Inter have the best of the deal and the club's fans will not mourn Ibrahimovic's departure, despite the Swedish striker being Serie A's top scorer last season.

The Portuguese tactician told Gazzetta dello Sport: "He (Ibrahimovic) has always given everything he could to me and to Inter.

Not crying
"He didn't manage to get the fans to fall in love with him though. They are not crying about his sale and are ready to love Eto'o."

Mourinho: Only A 'Stupid Coach' Would Be Unhappy With The Eto'o - Ibrahimovic Deal

Inter coach Jose Mourinho has revealed his delight with the Zlatan Ibrahimovic - Samuel Eto'o deal, claiming only a stupid coach would be unhappy with the transfer.

The mega-deal is virtually complete following developments between the clubs on Friday - the signatures and an official announcement are expected early next week. Mourinho has come out of the shadows to give his views on what he claims is a bigger transfer than Kaka and Cristiano Ronaldo to Real Madrid.

"Only a stupid coach would not be happy to have Samuel Eto'o and only a stupid coach would be happy to lose Ibrahimovic. I am very happy to have Eto'o," Mourinho told La Gazzetta Dello Sport.

"I thought Ibrahimovic would stay because I thought only Real Madrid would be crazy enough to go for him, instead it was Barcelona.

"I think this deal is extraordinary. It's worth €100 million. It's the deal of the summer.

"For me this is a €100m deal. Eto'o is worth as much as Ibrahimovic."

The Nerazzurri will receive around €48m and the Cameroon star for Ibrahimovic. The very latest reports suggest the deal may become official either on Monday or Tuesday. On Friday afternoon, after long negotiations between both clubs, Barcelona announced the deal as "complete".

I don't think it's a case of people hating Ibra, more so that they don't have a clue about him and prefer to judge him based on the two games they've seen him play in. Ibra will be widely regarded by everybody as the best striker in the world, including his current doubters.

Inter are my favorites to win the CL if Hleb and Cassano come too.

The will have a top quality side yeah, particularly with the added creativity that Hleb and Cassano bring; I'm still not sure about the ability of their midfield to properly compete and I think that will be what lets them down in the end.
