I've basically put together all the serious contenders for this. Also, it includes tournaments outside of the PL, so for example, Ronaldo being top scorer in the CL in 07/08 would have to be considered...

Ronaldo then because Henry was horrendous in the knockout stages in the CL league by his own standards that season

Henry 03/04 was a level above anything the league has seen before or since.

Ronaldo, 42 goals predominantly from the wing top scorer in both the prem and cl and led united to victory in both, even henry never had a season to match that

This is just turning into Utd vs Arsenal. Again.

cantona would surely be 95/96 season when he virtually won the league single handedly and then added the f.a. cup

Omg, fantastic thread...

You forgot Paul Scholes 02/03 but most of the great seasons are there.

Ronaldo's 42 goals were sensational, and the point about his performance in the CL, compared to Henry's, is a good one. However, I went for Henry 03/04, great great player.

RVN 02/03 was unbelievable and provides stern competition along with Frank Lampard, Beckham, Pires and others on that list.
Scholes

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

Hahaha that is ass licking beyond all belief :hysterics:

Think Scholes is the first United fan to vote Henry, good to see some people have a little perspective and don't just vote cluelessly for their own players.
