Manchester City Eye Arjen Robben
The City revolution seems set to continue with the capture of the Dutch winger...

Real Madrid winger Arjen Robben could be on his way back to the Premier League with Manchester City keen to snare the flying Dutchman, according to The People.

City are currently in talks to sign strikers Samuel Eto'o and Carlos Tevez, both of whom will surely greatly enhance the quality of the team if they are purchased, and now Robben is also thought to be on their radar.

City appear to be in the middle of a revolution at the moment, with the Abu Dhabi United Group providing millions in transfer funds, and manager Mark Hughes is set to spend big this summer.

They have already bought Gareth Barry from Aston Villa and are now looking to sure up their defensive and attacking options in time for the new season.

Robben has been told by Madrid that he can leave the club, with the new era of Galacticos currently under way at Santiago Bernabeu.

The 25-year-old is thought to be valued at around £21 million, with Madrid needing to make money on the players they sell, after they spent enourmous sums on the likes of Kaka and Cristiano Ronaldo, and they have stated that a lot of their squad players are available to buy.

The former Chelsea winger is, apparently, willing to leave the club, fearing first team opportunities will be severely limited next season.

AMAZING :)

I'd love to see him here at City. Amazing times ahead this summer, and all the doubters who were saying we weren't gonna sign a big player are beginning to look stupid. Good times for City.

my concern for city is mercenaries

do you really think eto will work his arse off if hes getting 200k a week?

if they join its for the money

who wants to join a team that aint even playing close to european football in a year running up to the world cup?

Not mine.

Yeah, 'cos he's a hard working player and he enjoys football, with players like Robinho and Tevez alongside him he'll be enjoying his football.

if they join its for the money

Not necessarily but it helps.

who wants to join a team that aint even playing close to european football in a year running up to the world cup?

People whose place in the national team is secure, people looking to play more first team football.

If they sign players such as Tevez, Eto'o and Robben then they WILL finish above you. Maybe not this coming season but certainly the one after.

Thats your opinion but it doesn't escape from the fact that they will likely have a better squad and first 11 than you.

Ok, whatever you say mate. I'll be here to hammer you when they don't do it. If anything, its your team who is likely to drop out of the top 4.

Again thats your opinion, but the gulf in class between Utd and Arsenal was there for all to see in the CL semi final. When was the last time that Utd almost dropped out of the top 4? Nearly 20 years ago, when was the last time that Arsenal nearly did? Less than 20 weeks ago.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

Yes. But I think its clear that there is not any chance of Utd dropping out of the top 4, getting to 2 CL finals in a row and winning 3 leagues in a row is not the work of 1 player. Utd may not win the league next year but 3rd would be the furthest we'd drop to.
