Upfront alone in a team with 10 men in extra time getting no support!! What do you want him to do?!?!?!?!

This thread is pathetic. I expected it to be from a clueless fan, and I was not disappointed. Play Xavi as a RB and judge him then FFS.

He isn't a striker tha can play upfront alone and neither is Theo so judging either on performances when they are upfront alone is wrong imo.

Here come the excuses :greatpost: when he has achieved nothing in 5 years time dont come running to me saying I knew he would be shite. He has potential nothing more nothing less.

If we had any evidence that he'd be top class up front then maybe we'd accept your argument DaG. But we see from him on the wing that he has poor composure, a poor first touch and poor finishing. Why would faults like this not carry over when he's up front?

He is a good player and he has done well this season. Last season Adeabyor was plan B and season at times Walcott has been plan B and when he got injured you could see we clearly lost something about how we played and it was not positive. There have been quite a few games this season where he has made an impact and people going on about his finishing is silly he gets few chances and when he does they are not very easy at all. Still he has scored 6 goals which isn't exactly poor. Including 3 in 10 games in Europe which is good.

He has pace, and that is all. He can't pass, cross or shoot, which are pretty important in football...He should have been a sprinter.

He had the worst goals to shot ratio out of all the regular midfield/attack starters. I really can't see where this illusion of him being a quality finisher has come from. Think Walcott then think Eduardo, see what i mean?

He can pass check the assists for Van Persie aggainst Blackburn last season. His crossing is poor but he is 20 its going to improve. Not even going to answer about his shooting. Tbh we are just going round in circles so lets agree to disagree.

The proof is in the pudding.

Strengths: Pace, quickness, timing of runs, direct running, natural finishing (please don't start on about that, the boy can finish), determination, spacial awareness

Weakness: Trickery, vision, passing, creativity

All that leads me to say he is a striker. He has said it himself, Wenger has said it, Andy Cole has said it, and Ian Wright has said it.

His goals vs Twente, Croatia, Villareal. Really good finishes that require skill.

Also, who gives a fvck about his crossing? If you watch Arsenal, (which I know doubt by the way) you would see we rarely have anyone in the box.

If you think he is a natural finisher then football must have serious problems  :hysterics:
