Hahaha unlucky Man Utd, Fergie won't be able to handle him and team morale will be low. Enjoy the top 4 while it lasts...

Yeah when Vidic moves to Spain and Ferdinand's legs begin to give way, he'll have no Vidic to bail him out.

Lol Ant, wishful thinking, very wishful. At least that clears the way for your Tevez deal though.

Winner.

Man Utd wont be able to rely on their defence again because Rio will be getting older and Vidic has proved more error prone in recent months. If Ronaldo is a weapon then I guess he is a nuclear bomb.

Sir Alex Ferguson believes Man United did well to keep Cristiano Ronaldo at Old Trafford for as long as they did.

United's acceptance of Madrid's £80million bid for the Portugal playmaker earlier this week brought an end to one of the longest-running transfer sagas of recent years.

Ronaldo's desire to leave the reigning three-time Barclays Premier League champions had become all too apparent in recent months, and Ferguson insists it was out of the question to expect the player to stay any longer.

"He wanted to leave, it's as simple as that," Ferguson told The Mail on Sunday.

"He was going to go some time.

"We've done well to keep him for so long."

Madrid's record swoop for the FIFA World Player of the Year is set to be concluded by June 30.
