You come on all happy and then you have to see what 500 words of bullshit from homer. Arsenal had the possession and created nothing, united didn't need to win but were it not for a piss poor linesman would have won 1-0 |

You need a Drogba type figure against United I think. Not to try and antagonise you but I think this game is essentially a precursor to what will happen in Rome. You lack someone that will disrupt the defence in the same way that Arsenal do. We will shut you out, and I can see us winning 1-0. That said, a couple of days ago I had a nightmare where Iniesta scored another late goal, winning the game for you... |

I sort of agree with you, but United can't play for a draw in Rome, so they can't defend as deep (unless they score early - my personal nightmare lol). Barcelona, like you intimated with your Iniesta fears, have far more players than Arsenal capable of one moment of magic to break through. |

united have deserved their win they havent been on top form for parts of the season, but they have done what it takes and hats off to them there is a massive gap between united and arsenal, i dont care what homer and wenger sayd if united didnt need just a point to win and didnt want to rest players next week for the champions league the week after it would have been a different game |

Which is why we need Fletcher. I feel that he would go some way to stifling the options for Iniesta with his determination and energy. It's such an interesting tie, and I'm really starting to think that it will be a case of the best team winning on the night as well as the best team on the night winning. Barcelona are similar to Arsenal in that they can't exert the sort of pressure that makes Utd shaky at the back but as Elcule rightly points out, Barca are higher quality than Arsenal and Iniesta is such a clever player, he will be a huge threat, it's such a pity that Fletcher isn't available because if Andres was playing in a central role or making central runs I would've been quietly confident of Fletch stopping him. Looks like Anderson will have to play because we need someone to really trouble their midfield and I'd like to see Carrick left free to thread some passes through to Berbatov and Ronaldo. |

Could we get away with the fab 4 on the pitch? (assuming Anderson-Carrick in the middle, with Tevez and Rooney forced to work their nuts off to disrupt Barca's midfield, which is realistic) I don't think Fergie will risk it, but it would mean that we could counter v effectively.

I think it'll be Anderson/Carrick/Park. Those three without a doubt, with Ronaldo and Rooney certain starters too, the other player will be another midfield or attacker which is one of Berbatov/Tevez or else Scholes/Giggs. |

Tevez is in fine form right now, and is the perfect player to disrupt the Barca passing carousel. That said, it may be better to conserve him for the last 30 mins or so when tiredness sets in, so perhaps Berba should start. If Giggs starts I'll be a bit annoyed to be honest. |

Congratulations to Utd. Another hat trick of titles and a record equalling season. No team has been outstanding this season but on balance Utd deserve this title. Good luck to you and Barca in the CL final-may the best team win. |

Yep I think that's the most likely team which for me would mean Giggs or Berba in the hole. I think we need Berbatov in this one to be honest, we need his ability to keep the ball in the final third against a possession team like Barca. Giggs might just be kept as a bench option as I think (apart from Tevez) he is the one that'll make the greater impact coming on late in the game. |
