CARLOS TEVEZ has dubbed Alex Ferguson an ‘old man’ hell-bent on lowering his value in the transfer market.

The Argie striker is at the centre of a bitter ‘will he, won’t he stay’ wrangle.

Tevez has grown increasingly frustrated at being dropped for Manchester United’s big matches and, according to his national boss Diego Maradona, fears Fergie wants him out.

Maradona said: “I spoke with Tevez on the phone and the first thing he said to me was ‘That old man doesn’t like me. :hysterics: :hysterics: :hysterics: :hysterics:

"He’s not playing me and he is lowering my value’.

“When he comes to Argentina, I’m going to reassure him. As I see it, he’s fast, incisive, he scores goals.

"He is about to be called up for Argentina and he will be playing.”

Tevez was a sub again at Wigan on Wednesday but came on to level in a 2-1 win.

Ferguson immediately insisted he wants to keep the on-loan star, who is owned by Kia Joorabchian.

Fergie even claimed United had made Tevez an offer to stay, though this was denied by the Iranian businessman.

But Maradona’s comments, in an interview with Argentina’s Radio La Red, will not help.

Joorabchian said yesterday discussions with United over Tevez’s future have been ‘cordial’ but ‘there have been no offers as such.’

He told talkSPORT: “Carlos will make a decision on his future once the Champions League is over.”

Why would he claim terms had been agreed then?

Like I said before, Fergie was lying, and he did it to keep his fans happy...

This is all just gunna be 80% bullshit and exaggeration at the moment. Just like the Ronaldo to Madrid stories over the last couple of years. I'm already bored of all this fuss about Tevez...just wish they'd sort it out so all this bollocks can stop.

I can tell by Tevez body language and by his comments that he is really unhappy.

Tevez will still be in Manchester next season.
At united then, he isn't going to waste his time at city

For Tevez' sake, I hope he stays, or at least goes to a club that is up there already competing for honours. If he still wants to play for Corinthians while he is in his prime, that does not give him too much time to go to a club with 'ambitions'.
City will need 2/3 seasons at least to challenge for trophies, and I'm not sure he can wait that long.

Wouldn't surprise me. He has done his best to get attention at such an important time in the season.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

It was an emotional goodbye for Carlos; anyone who saw him being subbed today could tell that Tevez knew, and the crowd knew, he'd played his last game at Old Trafford in a United shirt.

Winner.
