RICHARD SCUDAMORE always likes to trumpet the Premier League as the ‘greatest’ in the world.

Maybe, in terms of financial clout.

But not when it comes to bodies through the turnstiles.

The most popular league of all is in Germany where SIX clubs are averaging over 50,000 — Borussia Dortmund (72,000), Bayern Munich (69,000), Schalke (61,000), Hamburg (55,000), Stuttgart and Hertha Berlin (both 51,000).

Cologne (49,000) head another group of five averaging over 40,000.

The Premier League can boast only two of 50,000 plus — Manchester United (75,000) and Arsenal (60,000).

It’s the same in Spain — Real Madrid (73,000) and Barcelona (69,000).

And a similar story in Italy — AC Milan (58,000) and Inter (53,000).

Overall averages are: Germany (42,000), England (35,000), Spain (28,000) and Italy (25,000).

   you have to love those Germans

Barcelona season ticket holders are pathetic.

Winner.

To be honest Cull the Germans have always had big attendances and beautiful state of the art stadiums but yes the 2006 WC did help.

Yep, many good stadiums in Germany.

The best in England are:

Emirates
Old Trafford
Villa Park
St.James'
Stamford Bridge

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

German football not only has the big stadia, but it also has exciting football, low ticket prices and die hard fans who love to watch the game. Bundesliga is underrated by many is it's a lot more entertaining football than the PL is.

the stats show that dispite some clubs having bigger stadiums, united remain the best supported, and when old t reaches 95.000 we will be by far and wide the best supported week in week out
