I think the way I looked at it was who has disappointed me the most with their decline this season. I didn't really expect Neville to play much anyway. |

Rooney is our most improved player for me. Most declined player could actually be Ferdinand. Still World Class, but he seems to have slipped from being the best in the world and has been overtaken by both Vidic and Terry. Perhaps I'm being harsh though. Nani is the obvious candidate, though he wasn't anything special last season - he just seemed to show he had potential, whereas this year such flashes of briliance haven't come alongside his lacklustre perfromances. |

Yeah i dont think Nani has diminished. Like rolling said he just hasn't had the flashes of brilliance this season to go with his shit performances. Anyway mein Schlampa, im off home so i'll catch ya's on the flipside. |

Well, he was ok in periods last season. He would produce moments of brilliance that led us to think he was going to become a great player like his goal against Liverpool or the one against Arsenal. But this season he has generally been dire. |

Most improved - it's very close between Piqué and Thierry Henry; the former arrived as a backup centre half and looked a little nervous when opportunities were given to him so early, however he has thrived under Guardiola and has become a reliable and classy defender. Thierry Henry, well, what can you say, he was being dubbed 'a flop' or ' past it' at the end of last season and a series of inconspicious performances at the Euro's did little to boost his flagging reputatation. However, this season he has been fantastic; steering clear of injuries has helped, as has his eventual adaptation to the left wing role but in Henry Barcelona have a much needed alternative threat to Messi on the wing. Most declined - hmm, haven't been many really; United fans have suggested Nani and it is for much the same reason i would say Bojan - showed loads of potential last year but hasn't really been given the opportunity to fulfill it. This is a hard choice because Barcelona were so disastrous last season, it was difficult for many players to get any worse. |

Most improved: Alex Song. Always had the talent, now just about has the fitness level to go with it. Most diminished: Cesc. Shit season, his head is up in the clouds. |

Improved: Song, really has improved a lot recently, also a mention for Gibbs standing in recently he's done much better than I expected. Diminished: Ade, wtf is he asking for more money for?? Diaby, this year was his chance to shine and partner Cesc and he never got going, injuries were some of it but he was a disappointment in general |

Improved: Song has improved a lot, i agree that Walcott has as well, although he's been quite poor recently. Van Persie has had by far his best season so far, although that's mainly due to him avoiding long-term inury. Almunia has been much-improved as well. Diminished: Where to start? Adebayor has fallen from grace, probably wasn't a more all-round striker in world football last season, this season he's been, well, shit. Clichy was amazing last season, but has been error-prone & something of a liability this season. But the winner has to be Fabregas, it needs no explenation, in fact he's probably diminished more then any footballer anywhere in world football this season then anybody else. Terrible |
