I DOnt see Rafa only buying one player though
I'm not saying buy one, i think Barry would still be a good aquisition to give your midfield some depth, and then Silva + RVN or just buy Lavezzi who can do both jobs.

Depth is the main thing that has cost you this season, particularly the inability to replace Torres so that is what needs addressing.

What dyu think of Insua? How long will it be before he starts seriously pushing Aurelio for his place?

Winner.

Xabi Alonso's agent has dismissed reports linking the Liverpool man with a move away from Anfield.

Recent reports have suggested cash-rich Manchester City and Arsenal were lining up moves for the Spanish schemer.

Alonso's future at Anfield has been the subject of speculation for some time after a move to Juventus failed to materialise last summer.

The 27-year-old has shrugged off the speculation and has arguably Liverpool's player of the season with a number of impressive performances.

Alonso's agent Ignacio Ibanez insists he has not heard anything from anyone and that the player is happy at Liverpool.

"I know nothing about these reports [of interest from City]," Ibanez told skysports.com.

"As Xabi has always said he is happy at Liverpool and focused on them."

That Madrid side looks dangerous, but finding the right manager is essential. Capello would be a good choice.

RVN- Ruud van Nistelrooy? :D
Why not? He doesn't seem wanted at Madrid anymore but he is still deadly in front of goal, Madrid may be willing to let him go on the cheap and he'd be a great player to come in and guarentee goals in Torres' absence.

What makes you think that, he's been injured all season! RVN will not want to be on the bench, he will want first team football, and I see no reason why Madrid will want to get rid of him. I think if he leaves Madrid now he might make a move back to PSV...

No reason why they'd want to be rid of him? Er, he's old, is a symbol of the old Calderon regime, is in competition with the more favoured Higuain and Raul, added to that the fact Perez will attempt to purchase a trophy striker this summer; there is simply no room for RVN.

At Liverpool he will still get a lot of football, Rafa's rotation will see to that, and he will have the chance to get revenge on Fergie for his undignified exit from United by preventing him overtaking Liverpool's title record.
