Gerrard has got this award because of his form over the last 3 months, if you are going over a season i think vidic has been more consistent. The FWA award also takes into account off the field stuff as well, although they must have forgotten about gerrard getting arrested! Personally the players award is better as you have been voted by your peers, the writers award would be no different to us on here having an award
It is in fairness as Writers are unbiased and most of you on here are obviously not
The football writers could privately be as biast as anybody on here, some of them know next to nothing about football

Vidic was outstanding from november until the Liverpool game and has had about 1 really poor game all season. So your logic is, well, without logic.

Rooney has had a better season than Gerrard this year if I'm honest. Yet another accolade given to the scouser for 'representing Liverpool' and looking dramatic.

Alonso has also been far better than Gerrard of late.

Winner.

lol

He has been better this season though. He has consistently performed very well, it's just that Gerrard's goal-scoring form - and that is literally the only thing that has improved in his game these last 2 months or so, he still gives the ball away the whole time - of late has made him look like he's playing better, which he isn't. If Rooney took penalties for United, I'm sure he would have won it...

I have no problem with Gerrard winning it tbh. Its scant consolation for not winning the league!
