We are a far bigger club at present. This whole debate arose because Diego said Liverpool would be a step down for Tevez, which, currently, would be true. What Liverpool did in the 70s is irrelevant to this debate. But, Liverpool are getting better and although a move to Benitez's team would obvoiusly be a step down next season, Tevez could help make the pool a bigger club.

we had a samller capicity due to the ground having to become an all seater stadium, as the taylor report made it mandatory for all top flight clubs to be all seater, prior to that the capicity was 58.000 and was regularly full, many thousand more than the successful liverpool side at that time, at the start of the prem united started upgrading old trafford bit by bit, and it still isnt finished, 95.000 will be the capicity within a few years, whats being welsh and scotish got to do with them sharing their thoughts, and remember they both played for the successful scouse side in liverpools most successful period, you can't critisize ex players for telling it as it was |

What's so funny Elly?? Homer, Liverpool 18, United 17, atm. How is Liverpool not a step down Cockney? Haven't won the league in 20 odd years, just over half Old Trafford's capacity; smaller club; United will hopefully be champions, United have reached 2 CL finals in a row... |

Ad to get back on topic, Tevez has been a bit of a twat in my opinion... United are going for the PL and CL and he goes running to the papers playing the old sympathy card...not exactly a needed distraction is it? |

Why does that make him a twat? If a team has decided to isolate him and not make him feel part of the group, why should he care about whether he's 'distracting' his teammates or not? Sure, United fans might care, but it's in Tevez' interests to find a club that can guarentee him first team football, and seeing as his current club can't provide that, why not start looking now? |
![]() Winner. "If I go to Anfield and someone puts the ball into the box and Carragher hammers it out of play the fans applaud. At Camp Nou you would never be applauded for that." - Xavi | |

Didnt Liverpool win like 6/7 in a row? NO 1981–82, 1982–83, 1983–84 is the only time theyve managed 3 in a row, this season IF we win will become our 2nd time 5 european cups to Man Utds 3 ok yeah, but remembering only one english side were competing each season in the european cup during the period when they won 4, the only exception was 79, and forest knocked them out , such a great club eh come up against a top side and out they went. and during that same period every in the 80s, forest won the euro cup twice and villa once, must have been a tough tournament then19 titles to 18 titles(75% where only won in recent years)NO liverpool have 18 any like us 75 per cent of theres came in a short period, and by the weekend we maybe have equalled this. |

Simple. Liverpool are better but United are going to win everything. The only explanation for this is that United are luckier.

He will receive interest no matter what, and has the entire summer to find a move. If he cared about United as much as some people will have you know, he'd have kept his gob shut until the season elapses. |
