youve just made the most idiotic of points, how often would liverpool be in the champions league if the top two qualified only, hardly ever, as they spend most of the last 20 years around 3rd 4th or lower |

as for the side which was killed at munich, they beat your beloved arsenal 4-5 at highbury, drew 3-3 in belgrade, they were the most entertaining side EVER produced from england, but even munich couldnt hold us back for long, only NINE years on we were CHAMPIONS a year later EUROPEAN CHAMPIONS, how many titles would liverpool have had their 80s side been in a crash like united, not even double figures, lets face it homer youre jealous of uniteds current success, and back liverpool because their success mainly came before you were born

yes mate, according to many, they were on the brink of over throwing real madrid, and becoming annual rulers of europe, however, no would know hom many more we'd have won, but liverpool would be no where near england most successful club had munich not occured, that side were very young and set to dominate like no team before, even liverpool manager bill shankly, when asked about ;do you wanna the best team in the world'(typical scouse arrogance even then), he replied why has matt busby resigned, and thats a true story |

You are belitting the best side in world football in that era of time and you think that just because the format was not so strong it makes them less worthy champions. You always used to lose to Liverpool back in those days. |

Actually we had a good record against them then, it was always uniteds biggest game of the season. Once again you've got your facts completely wrong |

im not belittling what they achieved at all, infact ive always said that their 77 team was the best side i'd seen until united of 99, that praise not belittling, but there is a real arguement that the CL is harder to win now, theres more games and all the big sides are in it, and homer, we rarely lost to liverpool during their dominant period, winning at anfield regularly and liverpool rarely won at old t, so i don't know where youre getting your info from |

He's either trying to bump up the price, or united are going to do a deal and keep him out of it |

He said there has been a metting but an offer has not been made. Sir Alex Ferguson insists he wants Carlos Tevez to stay at Old Trafford after the Argentinian scored the first goal in Manchester United's 2-1 win at Wigan tonight. Tevez equalised with an impudent back-heel after Hugo Rodallega had given the Latics a first-half lead before Michael Carrick scored an 87th-minute winner to leave United only a point away from retaining their Barclays Premier League title. Tevez's future has been in the spotlight over the past few days, with the former West Ham player quoted in a Sunday newspaper saying he does not expect to stay at the champions. However, following tonight's victory at the JJB Stadium, Ferguson told Sky Sports 1: "He is a fantastic player. "He knows I want him to stay. I had a chat with him today and (chief executive) David Gill has had meetings with him. "I'm sorry I have to keep on going on about this, it has never changed. "(The fact) we're not negotiating with a football club is the problem - we'll see." |
