The one problem with that side is the flanks Ant, more so the left-hand side. You'll say you'll have Redondo covering for Lahm on the left-hand side but that isn't the type of player he was. Would you not want Redondo just in the middle, doing what he does best, spraying balls around and controlling the tempo, as opposed to rushing around and closing players down, which was never his main-forte. Your side is like that brilliant AC Milan side of the early-mid 00's, but me thinks you may have needed another Gattuso type in that midfeild to help out Lahm, you've got one in Simeone, but i can't see how you'll find the right balance on that left-hand side
You've missed the point of what I was saying. I'm not saying I want my DM's going out wide to help out, but DM's press opponents when not in possession and with 3 players in the centre of the park, they're not all going to be crammed into the centre of the park avoiding the wingers just for the sake of it. I see you've voted for me anyway, so this is just for future reference anyway, but this side is very similar to the great Milan sides of the early 00's, and you have to remember that on the left side was Seedorf, and he wasn't leaving his LB exposed, as the formation works in a way that will help stop opponents playing down the wings.
But they had Maldini at LB in those days, and if there was ever a LB who didn't need help defensively, it's Maldini. Lahm on the other hand is very, very attack-minded and will bomb-foward at will. Anyway, you've won this one so i'll pick the bones out later, but overall, you've got a wonderful side

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart
