Sorry phil. I vote Ant. Neither defences are great but Ant has better midfield cover and will keep the ball much easier. His strikers are also more likely to score goals. Not to mention your midfield is all over the shop. Your team is very unbalanced.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

If you had half a brain you wouldn't have needed the spreadsheet.

Then what was the point of the spreadsheet in the first place?

I vote for Ant. As someone else said, don't think either side would be overly strong in defence but Ant's side is pretty lethal going forward, more so than PHil's

The one problem with that side is the flanks Ant, more so the left-hand side. You'll say you'll have Redondo covering for Lahm on the left-hand side but that isn't the type of player he was. Would you not want Redondo just in the middle, doing what he does best, spraying balls around and controlling the tempo, as opposed to rushing around and closing players down, which was never his main-forte. Your side is like that brilliant AC Milan side of the early-mid 00's, but me thinks you may have needed another Gattuso type in that midfeild to help out Lahm, you've got one in Simeone, but i can't see how you'll find the right balance on that left-hand side
You've missed the point of what I was saying. I'm not saying I want my DM's going out wide to help out, but DM's press opponents when not in possession and with 3 players in the centre of the park, they're not all going to be crammed into the centre of the park avoiding the wingers just for the sake of it. I see you've voted for me anyway, so this is just for future reference anyway, but this side is very similar to the great Milan sides of the early 00's, and you have to remember that on the left side was Seedorf, and he wasn't leaving his LB exposed, as the formation works in a way that will help stop opponents playing down the wings.

Ant gets my vote. Phil's team just wouldn't be able to defend properly, the deepest midfield player is Ballack, the creative ATTACKING hub of Germany.

No offence but that team wouldn't defend well against the worst of teams.
