Uefa have just ruled that he will miss the final after reviewing the incident. Same with Abidal and alves

Thought so and im strangely pleased. You cant change the rules mid competition. Its definately something they should look to change for next season though.

Bollocks decision. Completely heartless.

The whole premise of the Champions League is that it showcases the best players in the world; now I don't know about you but if I was Rupert Murdoch I would not be shelling out millions of pounds to broadcast Sergio Fucking Busquets playing football.

To punish two players for fouls they did not even commit is ludicrous, and so is backing the ref that did it and enforcing a ban, despite video evidence proving to the contrary.

I am peeved.

Winner.

Harsh, very Harsh. They miss the final of the biggest competition because of mistakes by referees. Unbelievable.

Other players have missed games too, just because it's the final, doesn't mean the rules should be changed.

Most neutrals would rather see Paul Scholes play than Fletcher anyway...

But I am gutted for old Fletch. Such a stunning job against Arsenal and such a top top player. People will still call him average because he's Scottish and not flashy, but he's an exellent centre-mid and I've always defended him.

At least the two Barca boys are ruled out too.
Scholes

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

Good decision given the system in place. To go against the rules at this point would make a mockery of the competition. I hope that the rules are revised for next season's competition though, as, quite clearly, the framework in place allows no margin for error and therefore rather limits the scope of justice.

Peeved is a stupid word.

This decision will be far more damaging to Barcelona.

Not really: on current form, Abidal would either give us a penalty, get sent off, or do both...
