Yep, very true, but I think we won't have to play another game in La Liga to win it. Madrid go to Villareal (away) next Saturday and they have to win - if not we're champions. If they do, we only have to draw to Mallorca on Sunday - which hopefully the reserves can pull off.

I dont know why everyone slams Busquets because I think he is a very good player who has great all round qualities.

Potentially Barca could be without Abidal,, Dani Alves Marquez, Henry and now Iniesta. For a quality squad that's still an awful lot of talent to be without. If Utd stay injury free I'd be shocked if the didn't win (quite comfortably too).

Let's be honest, Barcalona will have half these 'doubts' available.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

What makes you think Abidal will start?

Is that a similar situation to Fletchers? Decided tomorrow? Or did Barca not bother in the end?

Lol sorry. Well, like i've said before, if we appeal directly to Platini then i think it very likely it will be upheld; it evidently wasn't a foul and I really don't see any reason to not withdraw the card. The ref has already admitted he made mistakes and I think it would be a great shame for Abidal to miss the final, especially as Platini quite clearly wants us to win it.

It would be the biggest disgrace in CL history if his red was rescinded. Disgusting to change the rules for anybody so late on in the competition...

If they were changed for both sides, with both Fletcher and Abidal allowed to play, Platini would be seen as the humanist amongst the bunch of bureuacrats within UEFA and will be greatly respected for it imo.

No, it'd be a disgusting move. So all those banned in the group stages and earlier knockout rounds who couldn't appeal didn't get to play, and could have easily altered their matches had they been allowed to play, but since this is the final they can change the rules for the first time since the CL's creation, because you feel sorry for them?

The way I see it, no player should be banned from a final, especially for at worst innocuous, and at best non-existant, offences.

And it won't be the first time the rules have been changed since the CL's creation. They've altered the format of it twice for a start.
