His job at Bolton in his 8 year-tenure there was sensational, and now he's saved a Blackburn side that looked doomed for a relegation scrap.

The Premier League table since Sam's arrival at Ewood looks like this:

How good is he?

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

Aye, he'd done a good job but i wouldnt say he was great, but suited very well at Blackburn. Didnt he get relegated twice at Bolton before succeeding?

Good at getting the best out of poorer squads. That's about the best position B'burn could hope for really because there are a fair few teams better than them. He's done a very good job. Especially bearing in mind he inherited that squad too.
