Fabianski is better than Kuscak. Silvestre doesn't count - we just got rid of him! Touré would be a good experienced backup defender considering Rio's injury problems are increasingly frequent. Adebayor is an out and out striker we haven't had in AGES. Diaby could develope into the kind of physical presence which is alwasy useful. Let's be absolutely clear - I DON'T want these players, I'm just saying they're not out of place at a top four club, but people like Diaby cannot be starting for a top 4 club at this stage of their development.
I would rather have Foster.

Toure...i would rather have Evans as back up like he is. And then we have O'Shea to fill in if needed too.

Adebayor might be the type of striker we haven't had but he's lazy and goes missing far too often. Might be the right TYPE of striker but he isn't good enough imo.

Diaby is a donkey.
I too would rather have Foster, that's why I said 'is better than Kuscak'. Fabianski would be 3rd choice. I too would rather have Evans, but if Rio is injured loads, one more injury and yh we end up with O'Shea - Touré is better. I completely agree with the Adebayor comment. But it's all irrelevent speculation, I DON'T WANT THESE PPL, I'm just making a point! (which Scholes didn't seem to get :( )
Well neither of us want them. So that's all fine :D

Top 4 does not mean challenging for the title..
Scholes

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

I dispute that. Last season, Arsenal led for much of the year. Liverpool quite obviously have challenged this year. Similar with Chelsea, they're always there and there abouts. United, ditto. So top 4 does mean challenging for the title, or at least should be. The fact that Arsenal haven't this season doesn't mean they shouldn't be - the ensuing furore from their fans just shows that Arsenal should be, and to go back to my entire point in the first place, they haven't beacuse they have players who shouldn't be STARTING for a top 4/title challenging side. :D

FA Cup final is the same day as the Copa Del Rey final. I hope I don't have to miss Arsenal.

1. But what is it exactly that sets them apart?

Physcial strength, mental strength, squad depth, experience, better players all over the park.

2. On paper which side is better?

Chelsea.

3. Do Arsenal need wholesale changes in the summer? Which players would you describe as dead wood?

Fabianski, Silvestre, Gallas, Eboué, Rosicky, Diaby, Vela, Adebayor, Bendtner.

Winner.

He's been quite poor but he has plenty of time to improve. In the last 2 matches I've seen him waste 2 or 3 chances because he took too long to shoot.

vela was bought back from spain to early, shoulda stayed until he was going to be a regular.

he hasnt had a run in the team

but how long can we give players "another season to improve cos he'll get more games next season"... diaby will still be getting that when hes 30 if wenger has his way
