Ant's obviously been drowning his sorrows and the drink is taking its effect now.

It was player before ball Ant, unfortunately, but regardless, it's not cheating. If it was a fair tackle, which it wasn't, then it's a wrong decision, and nothing to do with cheating.

Also, United were the better side. City had no cutting edge even when they knew they needed goals. We contained you very well and pretty much controlled procedings with ease.

As for the free-kick debate, how about we meet up at 10:30 when MOTD2 is on and discuss it in the pinned thread, instead of debating it now when we don't have a video to relate to? Deal?
You got bossed in midfield, end of. Your defence was just too good and we don't have a striker, simple. As for the freekick I don't even need to watch MOTD it was a clearly brilliant tackle, feel free to apologise when you've realised i'm right.

Also Ant when it first happened i didn't think it was a foul. Watch the replay CLOSELY tonight. You will then see where the initial contact is made.

it was one of the most comfortable derbys ive sat through, so don't know where you get, the we bossed midfield bit from, and van der sar was hardly worked, whilst tevez was unlucky on a further 2 occasions, on another day it could have been 4

It's not nice watching MOTD when you lose but please do.

As for your midfield, I can only imagine you're talking about the centre of it, where you had Kompany, DJ and Ireland, facing Fletcher and Giggs. Well Giggs was off-colour today and Fletcher his usual brilliant self. But look at your wings; Robinho rarelly troubled and Elano was shambolic, compared to a decent Ronaldo, and Park Ji-Sung who milked Robinho down the right with ease.

Bossing the centre of midfield with more men means little, seeing as Fletcher outshone all of them, and Scholes played more space-exploiting passes than all of them put together in a cameo. But there are more than five players on a pitch, and Berbatov and Tevez were exellent, compared to a limited Caicedo, whilst Park bettered anything Robinho and Elano came up with. Also, our full-backs were far more effective than yours going forward.

City were not good today; many wasted passes in the final third and not the same fizz and vibrancy United showed when in possession.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

We bossed the game but didnt have a meaningful effort on goal as we have no striker and their defence is too good. They got a FK that wasn't, ref buckling at OT as per usual and they scored from it. It wasn't with ease at all, had we some class upfront we'd have won the game...

I'm the type of fan that even at 2-0 gets edgy and nervous, but let's be honest, it was a stroll in the Ji-Sung Park for United today.

You won't win the treble as you're not in the FA Cup...
