I read it all Elcule, nice post.

Don't get me wrong mate, I was a big fan of the Eto'o of old, but the current Eto'o I am unconvinced with. He was much classier back then, and I really don't like strikers who are incompetent at linking play in-front of defences, and despite what you say, Eto'o is IMO.

But yeh, he is definitely top 10 snce 92. I like him.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

He is not 'definately' top 10 since 92...

Ok, I'll go make one, but he might even be in there. My point is he is not definately in there.

Ronaldo
Henry
Batistuta
RVN
Baggio
Shevchenko
Crespo
Inzaghi
Raul
Romario
Bergkamp

All better. Eto'o is probably level with the likes of Trezeguet, Shearer, Weah AND WRIGHT JUST FOR DAG. Actually Trezeguet was better...

What gives players like Trezeguet, Raul and Crespo the edge on Eto'o, bar longetivity would you say.

All three were better finishers, better positionally, better aerially, equally good at movement behind the defence. Only thing Eto'o has on the aforementioned trio is pace, and he's even lost that nowadays.

Don't forget I am a fan of Eto'o's, just putting you straight on where he ranks...

Raul has an edge on him with regards to European pedigree.

Winner.

4th option. The 3rd one would seem appropriate too but he wasn't a complete player and he definitely isn't the 2nd option for me....

He has been a really top class player for years.
