Both players helped out, your right in saying that. What your missing though is that I said quality defensive minded midifielder. Also neither Carrick nor Scholes were that attacking in 06/07, I'd say Fabregas looks to go foward more than those two did then. I'm not saying it has to be a player who does nothing other than tackle, a midifield Ferdinand (which is what Carrick is in part) would suffice. |

We need a CM/DM player anyway because the club has a shortage of them |

That's another media fallacy. The majority of Cesc's play comes from deep. He does get into dangerous forward positions because of his world class off the ball movement, and that is what puts him above Xavi. |

He is not a better CM than Xavi. He has more talent I'd say, but right now Xavi is top 5-6 players in the world, cesc isn't, which shows this talent hasn't been realised just yet. |

I didn't say that his best work didn't come from deep just that he likes to get foward more than Carrick and Scholes which you've just admitted. |

Muntair gives away the ball too much, and I don't like his positionally. Matuidi is 6 times the player. As good or better physically, much more upstairs. |

Muntari can outgun any midfield in the premierleague and he can be our driving force much like Vieria was for us. He has a hammer of a shot. |

If you was up against Essien or Diao who would you rather have next to you. Denilson or Muntari? Denilson got outmuscled and outbattled against teams like Stoke |
