We play nice one-two touch football (better than last season for sure) and we create enough chances to win by 3 or 4 goals in the majority of our games. I think people are reading too much into our inability to finish chances.

I don't agree at all. United were struggling to play that type of football and only started scoring again because it seems to me SAF has reverted back to crossing the ball a hell of a lot. (see Rooney playing LW to cut in and cross)

The Quieroz effect...
I don't know DaGunners, I think we played a much more counter-attacking gamne last season and got the best out of Rooney and Ronaldo's pace and counter-attacking talents while really not using the area in 'the hole' most of our play came from the wings.

This season we use that space a hll of a lot better and play more of a possession type game and I'm sure our passing stats would back me up on that. We make much more of them than last season. In the final third especially.

I think the fact that Man Utds best players have all been in the defensive part says it all really and I cant believe people even compare Man Utd to Arsenal because this Arsenal side does not worry about if they might leave a bit of space at the back because it is always attack attack attack no matter what the scoreline is but United its usually a case of going 1-0 up maybe try and get a 2nd but most important thing is to see the game out.

United's football last season was similar to Arsenal back in the day. Now its just typical United rubbish :bait:

Anyway your ruining my thread I dont care about Man Utd everybody knows what the situation is with them so I would prefer to talk about Barcelona and how superior they are to everybody.
See "everybody knows the situation with them" no your trying to convince yourself of an arguement that is totally wrong

Anyway, your totally right about barca they have been fantastic all season and were something else last night, it would only be right if they go on to do the treble this season. I cannot see chelsea, united or arsenal being able to beat them

United have played better football than arsenal this season, the defence are getting the plaudits because of the clean sheet record. Ronaldo has played well this season, so has carrick and rooney is having the best season of his life

Last season our best performers were in defence too! Obviously Ronaldo with 42 goals was the main man but Rio and Vidic were comfortably in 2nd and 3rd respectively. After that we had Brown performing better than any right-back has done for us this season and Evra in possibly better and certainly more consistent/less bogey form. I just don't get this arguement. If anything our defence was better last season.

We play more of the game in the opponents half than we did last season too which means the defence is under less pressure.

I read to page 3 but couldn't be arsed to read on from there.

Anyway, imo Arsenal 03/04 > Barca now. I do have logical reason's but i'm tired and can't be arsed to explain why right now, maybe later

I'm gonna let down my fellow gooners and say that this Barca team plays better football than the invincibes.

im still tempted by the united 99 team
the invincibles were a class act, and its a feat that may well never be accomplished again, but apart from the premiership, which we won on the fact we didnt lose any games, we only won the FA cup.
had we won the champions league as well as or instead of the FA cup, then that for me would have been the best team
