CL- They were destroyed by Bayern all game but scored 2 goals in the 90th mins

Of course we had some luck as Arsenal did in their Invincibles season, you drew 12 games and you can be sure there was game where decisions went your way or a game where you clawed your way back to earn one of your 12 draws.

As for the CL game, we were hardly destroyed all game, if you were to watch the game, we had a fair bit of the ball but Yorke and Cole missed some good chances, Bayern did have the CLOSEST chances obviously Jancker's overhead that hit the bar but we had lot's of good chances. Andy Cole probably missed the best opportunity of the game during the 2nd half.

Also, Bayern scored from a free-kick and hardly ripped us apart in open play. IT'S A MYTH.

The worst you could say is our strikers got well marshelled by Mathauss until they got subbed for new ones and Mathauss himself went off then our chances became goals pretty soon after.

I thought he stayed on? I remember Clive saying 'What must Mattehuas be thinking? With all due respect, who cares?.

In those 12 games ManYou I can honestly say that 7 of them were fair 4 of them were unfair and robbed of bad decisions i.e Robbie Keane getting a last minute pen against us for no reason but only 1 time did we have a bit of luck and that was when Pires dived for a pen against Pompey but we should have won that anyway. No team will ever go the season unbeaten again its impossible.

Bayern were the dominate team in the final no question about it.

You know what disapointments me is that Arsenal won the league by playing brilliant offensive football and having tons of flair players but at the end of the day you can have Man Utd playing piss poor and just being average but it will still count the same I just find it hard to accept.
I can understand that mate, but you can take comfort in the fact that, if United only win the league this season (along with the trophies that currently possess), they won't be spoken about in the same sentence as the invincibles.

The thing is, winning three trophies (and still playing attractive attacking football - witness the 8-1 at Forest, 3-3 draws vs Barcelona and going to the Delli Alpi and winning 3-2) is a far greater achievement than winning one, no matter how convincing Arsenal were.

Winner.

Nah, subbed 85th min - hence that comment from Tylesley.

Utd played good football in '99 aswell. Has everybody forgotten how amazing Yorke and Cole were together. Beckham having his best season ever with some glorious assists and Giggs having a very good season too. Keane dominating the midfield and Scholes showing that he was becoming a truly class CM/AM.

It's Forest 1 - 5; Yorke and Cole have two each with 20mins to go, the only thing left to be decided is who will get their hatrick first. The answer: Solksjaer in a 20 min cameo!

 Some cameo that was! I thought Solksjaer was such an accomplished finisher he rarely gets a mention but I think he was almost as good as RvN at it. He was one of those players who hit the target so often, he could be dragged all over the place by a defender with his back to goal and he'd still squeeze the ball through a defenders legs and on target. Always knew where the goal was, like all good strikers.

We have to listen to this shit off you constantly, united have played some really good stuff this year your the only one who thinks we've been poor. There are different ways of winning things, if united win the league they will have won it 3 times in a row as good as the invincibles were they only won 1 league title

Of course United have played "some good stuff" this season. So have WBA FFS. United have not played good football consistently at all this season. The Invincibles and almost every Arsenal team up until 06/07 were great all the time.

You admitted before that you don't watch every game, i'm not really bothered wether you think we are shit or not to be honest if we win the league it will be because we deserved to
