Gibbs is quality but Clichy has more experience and thats why decide these games.
Gibbs has been better than Clichy this season. Also, we need to get on top of United at home, and Gibbs>>>>>>>>>Clichy going forward.

As for Djourou Scholes, I am not sure. He was in great form early in the season, got dropped, and has been shaky whenever he has played since. He was ok today, but lets see how he copes with United.

One of his best performances as a pro came against United at Old Trafford in 06/07 you will remember.

This might sound ridiculous but not conceading is more important than scoring in this match although of course we will need at least 1 goal during the match because if they score(which is very likely) then we will need 3. Clichy is a better defender.

Gibbs is going to go on to have all the attributes to be a world class LB, as well as that he's a good enough passer to play in CM

Agreed. I fucking love his attacking play. He can be the best attacking full back in the world, he has that much ability.

Yeah, he does occasionally, but he was our best player against United. He deserves to start, and he is improving everyday.

Winner.

Scholes

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart
