As for Cesc, Wenger is partly to blame but Cesc is not free of it. As a talented footballer his performance midweek was simply not good enough. It was lackluster and wasteful.
so fabregas gets slated but fat fwank gets excuses?
Lampard was anonymous at the most difficult place to go in world football, give no support from his team-mates leaving him isolated in possession. He was extremely quiet making his overall performance a poor one. Now if you watched Cesc Fabregas midweek, you'd have seen a player beaten to every loose ball, a player dispossessed by dwelling in possession, a player lacking urgency, and a player thinking they're above themselves by playing hollywood, which is becoming a common occurance from this rat.
more excuses.

He considers him the 2ndbest midfielder in PL history, behind Vieira, so wrong again DaGunners.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

'Do you like Lampard?' would've been a genuine question, but 'You don't like Lamps do ya Gos?' was an assumptious question you thought you'd get a pleasurable answer from :D Time to sleep, cya son.

Time for you to put up or shut up Cesc. If you don't win us this game fvck off back to Spain.
Wow strong words DAG

Without Cesc we are doomed mate
If Cesc were to leave Arsenal then that would lead to a LONG trophyless period. You need him right now. You may have lost better players before but presently he and Arshavin are your only really top level players.

I concur with DaG; I reiterated that if Arsenal travelled to OT and lined up in a 4-4-1-1 they would be annilhilated, we all know 1-0 was a very fortuitous result.

I don't think Wenger is a narcissist for playing Cesc as an attacking midfielder; I think in the small games he plays him there as it makes the team more robust and difficult to break down. It also allows Arsenal to monopolise the possession and create a plethora of chances for Emannuel.
In the big games I think he retains Cesc in this role, this time due to the fear of being dominated in midfield; he needs to comprehend that he will always get dominated in the middle as other big teams' centre midfields are simply better and stronger than Arsenal's. Three on three, Arsenal's will be destroyed everytime. He therefore needs to resign himself to losing the battle in the centre and utlise the wings far more, as well as adding some threat upfront - ie. 4-4-2.

DaG is bang on with his conductor analogy to describe Cesc's postion; he has to play CM. Imo his best partner in the second leg would be Alex Song; Eduardo and Adebayor up front.

Winner.
