Lol, the picture indicates the direction he has come from, so he's obviously gone through the middle of the Hull players, and judging from the reaction of player and assistant, something untoward occured.

I remember a few months ago the denial from yourself and others, well he's banned now and I'm delighted.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

"The second charge relates to an alleged spitting incident."

Hence he's been charged for the spitting incident, which means they have some sort of proof.

Fabregas faces ban after FA charge

Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas has been charged with improper conduct by the FA following allegations he spat at Hull assistant Brian Horton.

The Gunners were asked by the Football Association to provide their observations following the FA Cup tie at the Emirates Stadium on March 17, and according to manager Arsene Wenger, they have now decided to take the matter further.

Fabregas, who was not playing against Hull because of a knee injury, issued a statement on the evening of the incident to deny he spat at Horton in the tunnel.

Wenger feels there is no case to answer.

"Fabregas has been charged for improper conduct on the night," the Arsenal manager said, speaking at Friday's press conference ahead of the Premier League game against Middlesbrough on Sunday.

"I always said we are always very open to co-operate with any investigation.

"I personally looked at the reports, at the video evidence and there is nothing in there against Cesc."

Should the charges be proven, Fabregas - who missed more than three months of the campaign with a knee problem which required surgery - could face a suspension.

However, that would only be for domestic matches and as such would not cover the forthcoming Champions League semi-final against Manchester United.

Wenger continued: "I dont know if we will appeal - I will see what we can do about that.

"At the start, I am not a great fan of appealing because I said we are very open to co-operate and now I dont think we should stop that.

"I am very positive that there was enough evidence in what I have seen that the case should have been dropped."

Hull manager Phil Brown brought the alleged incident to light immediately after his side's defeat, but has also been charged by the FA following his outburst at referee Mike Riley.

A statement from the FA read: "Cesc Fabregas and Phil Brown have both been charged with improper conduct.

"The charges relate to matters arising from the FA Cup match between Arsenal and Hull at the Emirates Stadium on 17 March.

"Fabregas faces two charges of improper conduct relating to his conduct on the pitch following the game.

"One charge concerns his behaviour in coming onto the pitch after the final whistle, the second charge relates to an alleged spitting incident.

"The charges are based on submissions from Hull City and video evidence.

"Brown is charged with improper conduct and/or bringing the game into disrepute in relation to media comments made after the game concerning referee Mike Riley.

"Fabregas and Brown have until 12 May to respond."

My god DaG your worse than Stalin, trying to rewrite history to suit your own needs. Next thing you'll be removing Hull's players from the picture and pasting over Fabregas's aggressive face with a nice fluffy one. Accept it, he was clearly acting aggressively and has been PROVEN to have acted improperly. There is absolutey nothing that you can say that will contort reality to prove him guilty.

Camera angles show him to be IN, not out, of the faces of Hull players. And if he was coming on simply to celebrate then why celebrate with the opposition? There be no other motive than mischief for him being with Hull's players. He has a history of petualance as well, so its hardly out of character is it?

this is such BS, so what he came onto our pitch, its our pitch. these pictures dont show him being aggressive, the guy who looked aggressive (which no ones seems to have put up a picture of..wonder why...) is the assistant from Hull.

If Fabregas gets a 2 match ban then I think its a disgrace because they have no evidence at all and personally it looks like he is innocent. I find it unreal that Man Utd and Chelsea players do far worse and yet they dont get any punishment at all. FUCKING JOKE.

I keep hearing about VIDEO evidence but there are no cameras in the tunnel at The Emirates and Setanta didn't show moving pictures of activities ON the pitch at the time.Cesc is walking towards his team mates and gloating at Hull's loss. It's taunting more than aggression imo. Funny how sensitive these tough English managers have suddenly become too-face pulling, hand gestures and walking on to your own pitch are now forbidden it seems.
