It was a fascinating contest.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

I wasn't including it as 5th best, my list was just some other potential games for people to consider - most of which were far better than Chelsea - Bolton, Stoke - Villa and Burnley - Spurs.

Most Serie A games are. I think it's more a case of it was shown on BBC...

Well yeah, very few people here have really seen any live Serie 'A' games this season and it was a refreshing spectacle, deomnstrating a far higher quality of game than is normally seen in England. The ball retention was fantastic to see. I'm by no means saying it was the best Serie 'A' game of the season, but it was a great spectacle between one wonderful attack and one sturdy defence, cheered on by a passionate crowd.

I would like to think that it also revised quite a few people's stereotypes of Serie 'A' being a "boring, defensive league".
