You can't just snap up a world class CB, especially if you are Arsenal. I'd be prepared for a lack of signings this summer and Wenger to trust his young players as always.

You don't have that much money to play with, and you have Wenger as your coach. Add that to the fact that there aren't that many world class CB's around who actually WANT to leave, and you get what I'm saying.

I've also never heard toilets talk shit. Try another analogy

If no one goes then there's a fair chance we won't sign anyone this summer, and we probably won't need to because without so many injuries we've got a rocking team.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

We make the 2nd most money in the world.

And if I recall we spent 15M in January on a certain Russian superstar...

You are in debt though because of your stadium right? I was impressed with you signing Arshavin for £15m, though there was previous to that a MASSIVE hold up because Wenger claimed you couldn't afford the player - I know, I spent the whole evening watching SkySportsNews - which is why the deal was only concluded after the deadline. I also thought that that was your club record signing but correct me if I'm wrong, and for a top european side, £15m is not that much.

You'd be hard pressed to find a world class CB for £15m too, afterall, what club would want to seel such a rare commodity?

What about Vidic, he was nowhere near 15 mill.

Doesn't need to be "world class" necessarily. Just someone who is strong, reads the game well, proactive, and strong aerially/in the tackle. Lescott ticks all the boxes for me, as does Chiellini.

He was also not world clas when we bought him. In fact, the season we did buy him, everyone claimed Fergie had made a mistake. That was also true with Evra. oops.

Fair enough. I reckon you could get Lescott for £10-£12m and I'm sure he'd want to go.
