Italy are not well drilled, half the team hasn't even accepted the ridiculous 4-3-3 Lippi is carrying on from Donadoni's days. I saw them versus Brazil and they really aren't that special in terms of organisation. |

He was very good in 05/06, 06/07 and 07/08 in the PL with all this movement. 3 years of solid defending in the PL means he isn't as bad as everyone here is making out. Fair enough his form this season does warrant such criticism but saying he's a shit player and a donkey is just wrong. Does the three solid consistent years he had mean nothing, all because of some bad form. Drop it out, it takes a couple of years of top form to truly call a player great and that isn't just washed away with a few bad games. If he's still having a torrid time this time next year then I'll stand corrected. But for now, he's a good defender in bad form, not a shit player. Terry, Ferdinand and Carragher are the only English defenders that I'd say are without a doubt better than Dunne. Englands next best defender Jagielka (say nothing DaG!) is around the same level as Dunne IMO. He ain't that bad! |
