Uefa have Liverpool ranked number 1 in europe if that helps anybody . .
Benitez.
So Arsenal is the better team but Benitez is the better manager?

Would have been the other way around I would have thought
In europe, Benitez is king, and gerrard is his prince.

Nope, because Uefa base their rankings over the last 6 years or something ridiculous.
So based over one season would be better? Well we are nearly finished this season, wonder who the neutral would pick as the better team Arsenal or Liverpool.

Success is winning championships. It is nothing less than that. And when you win a championship - and we will - success isn't measured or accomplished by winning once.

Liverpool are a better team this season.

Liverpool are now one of tose team that can beat ANYBODY on their day, previously they would play well against a decent Utd side and still lose 0-1 at Anfield but they really know how to beat teams now, no inferiority complex in the side anymore. That said, I suppose with the quality in Arsenal's team they are and always hae been one of those teams who can beat anyone.

But Arsenal have off-days, days when they look far from unstoppable and they get beaten all ends up in terms of hunger. This very rarely happens with Liverpool, in fact it's the one thing you know you'll get from them in abundance. Liverpool's off-days are when they don't cut teams up or score goals, you'll never see them back out of any hard tackles or anything.

I would say both Arsenal and Liverpool on their day are about 9/10. In different ways tough, Arsenal are pure quality and will treat you to some amazing football while Liverpool are just a powerful team that will drain the very life out of teams and then blitz them.

But off their day, I'd say Liverpool are 8/10 (Not great going forward but still VERY hard to beat) and Arsenal would be 7/10 (Quality is there, but generally a soft touch and not enough fight in them)

So Liverpool are a better team, there's no two ways about it but I would say Arsenal definitely have more quality within the team but that doesn't mean they're team is higher quality.

I like your comparison ManYou, but you're forgetting it is Arsenal who refuse to lose right now while Liverpool lose games they shouldn't. I stand my viewpoint that Arsenal are the better side and have been for nearly two years now, despite Liverpool's recent drop off. The only patch where Liverpool were better was while we were ravaged to the core with injuries in midfield and attack.

Arsenal have got more fight in them this season for sure. Liverpool have only lost 2 games in the Prem this season though so it's hard to argue they lose games they shouldn't.

Arsenal's injuries have been the problem. One could blame it on lack of squad depth, but you cannot predict such injuries, nor premept them by spending £20m on players.
