When all's said and done, Liverpool are comfortably a better side than Arsenal, for the first time in many many years. Let's hope Liverpool have an off-day.
Bullshit. Over the last few months Arsenal have matched Liverpool in points tally. We've gone further in the FA Cup and Carling Cup and are likely to go further in the Champion's league.

And they we've given them numerous spankings in recent years, while they've spanked us once at the end of a season when we had nothing to play for.
Biasism
sheep off Phil. Liverpool are not COMFORTABLY better than Arsenal. Remember we dominated possession with 10 men against you not too long ago.

Arsenal's team is miles miles better. They've just had so many injuries at different times that they couldn't mount an effective Prem challenge, as the League requires consistency week in week out and you CANNOT do that without your best players playing. As triggle pointed out, Arsenal have gone further in every competition, so they clearly have class.

Liverpool are a good side with one exceptional player and one very good player Arsenal have quality almost everywhere - not defence.

We'll beat Chelsea at home, and at least draw with United and Liverpool because we're the best.
:cooldude: and the most biased poster of the moneth goes too.....
You for backing Scholes when he says Liverpool are COMFORTABLY better than Arsenal. Really fucking riles me when we have to stand for that shit despite being our best form for years.

You could've saved 20 seconds of your life because that is a moot point if ever I've seen one.

They lost at Goodison whilst you've been given byes in the FA Cup, never mind that. You're not through to the semis yet and haven't had to face Madrid and Chelsea anyway. Their league position outlines their superiority I'm afraid. I don't think you can argue that right now they are the better side. They've improved significantly.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

Despite being a fucking good poster Triggle you are insanely optimistic and clouded with bias at times. Liverpool are better than Arsenal, and I say it's comfortabe because because I believe it's clear-cut, and not debatable right now.

You can make a case for saying Madrid, when they played Liverpool, were only marginally better than Roma.

The League position only underlines their superiority in terms of this season's conditions. Arsenal have got a magnificent squad which has been hampered by injuries the whole way through. Liverpool have had Torres injured, and while he is their best player, he isn't their most important player. With injuries to Fabregas, Rosicky and Walcott, Arsenal haven't had access to the same quality week in week out. Right now when some of these injured players are coming back - the most significant one being Fabregas - they are starting to play well, and as triggle said, they've matched Liverpool for points.

Let's not forget that Liverpool are a team that have lost to Middlesborough, drawn to City (at home), Wigan, Everton, Stoke, Hull and West Ham. They haven't been that majestic this season, and I think that if Arsenal had kept their most important players fit for sustained periods, they would be right up there as they were last season.

Lol, I hate Liverpool, that's why I was so desperate for Lampard's men to ditch them out of the CL. I prefer Arsenal football club so no bias is getting in my way here, it's just about time Liverpool were acknowledged as a world class team.

The league is the bread and butter, and if teams can be clearly separate in the PL table, then that's how they should be judged. Liverpool finished 5th in 2005 whilst winning the CL. Doesn't mean they were better than Chelsea, Barcelona, Milan, Arsenal, United etc.
