How can you say that DaG when he always gets around 10 to 18 assists a season in the league?
A lot come from set-pieces.

Lampard is no creative genius, he's no wizard, but he's decent in that department, whilst exceptional in the goalscoring department.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

Paul Scholes was the most creative player in Englan in 06/07, he had 1 assist. Its too simplistic a stat. Cesc/Young doubled and nearly tripled the most creative player in the countries assist record last season: Alex Hleb.

A fair few came from set-pieces too, but of course, Fabregas is a wizard in possession.

Ok it is simplistic, but assists lead to goals....hence creating.
How are you going to define creating?

Also, no one is saying Lampard's main strength is creating. I just pointed out that he isn't a conventional 4-4-2 midfielder, therefore shouldn't be evaluated as one.

Fabregas is a wizard in possession.
And that was in a relatively static team last season, with a striker who offered poor movement. Put Theo up front and watch the boy go to work.

Lampard is always a pest who does nothing all game and then "bang". He will get found out when he is up against Barca's midfield trio.

He already has 3 goals to his name against Barca. I expect Barca to win comfortably though.

Ye but this Barcelona side is probably the most complete side I have ever seen from the Catalans so I dont imagine Lampard will get much change out of them.
