John Terry is a world class player, but isn't as good as he used to be.

Rio Ferdinand last season is better than any defender this season, for me. He is the master.

Winner.

Having the best defence in La Liga is hardly something to be proud of....
In the league with the best attackers in the world, i'd say it is...
It's not great mate...It's just the least shit defence in the League.

Coming from an avid watcher...

If you look at teams like Villareal and Atletico in the CL, and then look at them in La Liga you will - well, would - notice that they concede a considerable amount more goals in the latter. This demonstrates Spanish team's capacity to defend when they need to in the CL, whereas La Liga promotes a far more cavalier attitude to play, and this is reflected in the amount of goals scored. Nontheless, the point still remains that the best defence in an openly attacking league can't be too bad a defence...

As an avid watcher, I think a prudent question to you would be whether this was down to the defence (back 4 and keeper) or to the general Barcelona way of playing football, which is to keep the ball - xavi style

Terry is a poor man's Carragher. Not nearly as good at reading the game. Terry gets too much credit for throwing himself about and last ditch tackles simply because he wasn't doing his job properly in the first place.

I wouldn't even say rich tbh mate lol, I'd say more middle class man's Dunne. Terry is a brilliant defender Dag, you rated him incredibly highly a month or two ago lol. Carragher is nothing compared to Terry, as a player, and over the whole span of their careers.

I think that is evidenced by Carragher's inability to nail a first team spot ahead of Ferdinand, let alone Terry.

That's because they are currently better than Carragher. But in each players' respective prime Carragher shits on them IMO.

I would say the opposite.

Terry > Carragher

Not at the moment, but over the course of their careers.

Terry has never been a great reader of the game. Not many better than Carragher.
