At least I'm safe in the knowledge I'd never have got him anyway...

But sheep me, can people start picking attackers/midfielders again please?!

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Did you want him mate? I have one of the meanest looking CB partnerships with Terry and Sammer.

Winner.

No, you can't, mainly because i think you'll nick one of mine.
:hysterics: :hysterics:

My team:

xxx
xxx xxx xxx Cole
xxx Vieira Gerrard Pires
Owen Wright

Dunno, looks a bit average to me DaG. There's no calming influence in the central midfield. Your strikers are identical to each other, and there's no one in the midfield with the creativity to supply them with through balls which they both gag for. And there'll be no crosses coming in because Pires cuts inside, so you'll miss out on Owen's aerial ability.

And you said Gerrard is not a central midfielder, yet you've got him playing there?

A lot of my targets have been taken but what can you expect?

Who's up next? Roonaldo if I remember rightly?

Yep Roonaldo is next.

Lots of my targets were taken too but thats the nature of the game. Just have to hope you have 3 or 4 players in mind for each position.

First of all, you don't need a "calming" influence in the middle. You need players who win the ball, cover a lot of ground, and can dictate the game. My central midfield is better equipped to do that than any other team. Secondly, so what if my strikers are identical? The only responsibility they have is to make runs and score goals. And Pires was a good crossers, but his passing on the ground is his best, and my strikers would run onto his through balls all day long.
I am soft.

You cannot deny that is superb, all of them I would label 'special' players, bar Deco.

It is a magical midfield

Time will tell whether you're lack of defence will cost you big time though...
