KOL, it's impossible to tell whose picks are best right now until the game develops. A lot of the picks thus far are tactical and I have a few tricks up my sleeve. However, my picks thus far have been quality. All 3 are special at what they do and what they do is different. My team will be so versatile.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

One genuinely class CM, the other a superb SS but very good CM, at best...so nah. When you've got the best free-role player since 92, no questions asked, and a player who had a position named after him, sprinkled with special talent in David Beckham, you'll need more than a walking tornado and a walking disaster to shit on that.

Scholes to be fair, I think you're seeing something in your team that isn't there yet. Makelele and Beckham aren't the best picks, but Ronaldinho is class. Still, you shouldn't have picked Dinho first, I reckon you could have got him on the 32nd pick tbh...

You must be joking? Dinho would've been snapped up immediately if people had any sense. Along with Ronaldo9 and Zidane, he is one of the three standout players of this era.

Secondly, no matter what you and DaG say, Beckham was a special player. Ask Phil16...

Both Vieira and Makelele were incredible players. Personally I'd prefer Vieira in my team but in this game I would rather Makelele as Vieira's attacking attributes won't be needed in my side.

^^^Why don't you just get defenders who do their jobs? Then Makelele's position is obsolete. If you are intending to play a 442 with Maka in there, you will be slaughtered by a team who plays 4231...

I doubt anyone will be playing 4-2-3-1. Anyway, explain to me how that would slaughter a 4-4-2 with Makelele.

Makelele is a strict holding player. The other midfielder in that team would have far too much work to do and would be marked out against a 4231 formation. You would need a Zidane or a Vieira or a Gerrard to compensate for the lack of work the DM did.

Will mid 90's players suffer when it comes to the final votes though, because the younger crew won't have such an accurate understanding of their abilities? hmmmmm
