DaGunners has read Wenger's autobiog?

Front page of the Gaurdian, 2003:

Ke-own Goal

What a moment :)

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

I'm not a fan of the diamond midfield IMO, far too narrow. But the strikers are golden.

Width is provided by two fantastic attacking fullbacks though. My only doubt about that side is the central defensive pairing, which isn't the quickest - or the classiest - in the game by a long way. That demon midfield should take a lot of the pressure off them though.

I'd be confident against Ant, my ultra-defensive tactics will be his undoing :)

Oh and Cull, Hagi is fucking creative mate!

Winner.

Arshavin is a bad pick IMO Kem. Brilliant, brilliant player. But not many on here saw him at Zenit, and he hasn't done it at Arsenal for anywhere near long enough.

I'm not a fan of relying only on the full backs for width. Can be exposed too easily, and gives them far too much work to do. There has to be someone who at least tries to stay wide. Cole-Pires for example would rap a diamond formation down the left.

Hagi is on of the best #10's in history mate. Destroyed teams like Barca, Madrid, Milan, and many others in his time at Galatasaray.

---------Julio Cesar----------
Sagna Costacurta Nesta Carlos
-----Ze Roberto Cocu---------
Rui Costa-----------Arshavin
--------Inzaghi --Baggio-------

with Baggio slightly behind Inzaghi, and one of Ze Roberto or Cocu moving into a CM position while attacking

I'm not using a diamond formation, but I can't show you how I'm gonna do it on a text box like this. It's a 4-3-1-2 system. Bollocks to having no width, I've especially picked Cafu and Lahm for that, they'll be providing width and when they're forward Redondo and Simeone will cover. It's not only a mastermind in player selection, but the tactics are spot on too.

Aldair was fast as funk cule, and Hyypia was a top class reader of the game and aerial winner. That defence is the equivalent of Ferdinand and Vidic, Ferdinand being Aldair, Hyypia to Vidic.

Cull, if you think that's not creative go find a few vids of Albertini and Hagi!!!!

I'm not a fan of one pace merchant and one reader of the game to be honest. Two readers of the game is what you should be looking for ideally.

I agree with all of that apart from your middle paragraph, obvious everyone has to big up their own team but you're seriously overrating Aldair and especially Hyypia. I didn't see much of Aldair but i wouldn't say he was a key member of that Roma Scudetto winning side, Hyypia was very good, but never top class imo.

Hyypia was a brilliant defender in my opinion. Not as good as Carra, but fucking class indeed.

Can't remember too much about Aldair if I am honest. I mostly remember Totti and another player I won't name in this thread...
