Have you ever seen Henry play? What about Pires, Figo, Zidane, Cassano? Loads of players are better technically than Ronaldo. |

To use a Dagism: Iniesta pisses on everyone in terms of technical ability, the bloke is a walking supernova. |
![]() Winner. "If I go to Anfield and someone puts the ball into the box and Carragher hammers it out of play the fans applaud. At Camp Nou you would never be applauded for that." - Xavi | |

I still think you're defining techincal ability differently to me. I'm not aware that Pires has anything like the range of trickery available to him in the way that Ronaldinho and ronaldo do. |

Technical ability is all about execution, and for me, execution with the feet is most important. The main components include: Shooting: Technique, keeping a ball down, volleying, half-volleying etc.. Passing: Long, short, inside of foot, outside of boot, flicks, many more different types of pass, technique in executing each... Dribbling: Close control, running with ball at pace, quick-feet Touch: First touch, ability to control a ball Technical ability emcompasses all of the above but it will alway be interpreted in different ways. It's pretty much technique in executing skill. |

Bollocks. Piress pisses on Ronaldo in terms of trickery. Just because its not as flashy doesn't mean it isn't more effective. Pires was the king of drawing a defenders tackle and then going past. |

RVP is technically superb, whether you like it or not, Lampad was technically exellent. Rooney and Scholes are technically superior to Ronaldo. Carrick and Park are not technically good. Anderson is technically terrible. Ronaldinho and Zidane are technically perfect. |

No that's exaactly what i mean. I appreciate Ronaldo's trickery isn't effective - as i said before - but it is still technically sublime. |

Don't really see the relevance in that to technical ability...committing defenders is an art, but it's little to do with technical ability. |

I was talking about trickery. Its obvious Pires was better technically than Ronaldo, so I can't see why he is arguing that. |

Not convinced about Pires being technically brilliant though. His style was unorthadox to say the least. |
