---------------???--------------
???---Carvalho----???------???
-------Scholes---Deschamps---
???---------------------Recoba
-----------Shevchenko---------
--------------RVN--------------

not as star studded as ants/scholes but imo every player complements each other and would work well as a team.

So how is it being judged Scholes? Do people just vote for the team that they think is the best?

Yep, it's as simple as that mate.
Scholes

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

You should do a knockout competition, and a general vote based on all teams in a league. Judge overall from a combination of the two.

In the general vote, everybody should pick who they think would be top 5 in a league. Score it 1st=10 points, 2nd=6, 3rd=4, 4th=2, 5th=1. Or something like that anyway. Better than everyone JUST picking the best team.

Drawing teams against each other like a last 16 knockout, allows the eventual winner to be assessed 4 times, making for more accurate results. And most importantly, doing it this way allows teams to be whittled down, a much fairer way of doing things, whilst resulting in a lot of debate.

Just to reitterate, before any voting takes place, both participants can have their say, debating why their side is better.

Over-complicates things really, not as accurate as a knock-out in deciding on an overall winner.
