Robben isn't all he's cracked out to be. He was better in his early Chelsea days and showed more consistency but he's whimp at the end of the day. Messi is obviously on a different level but so is Ribery IMO.

Higuain does look to be turning pout to be a good finisher, not fully convinced by him but I thought he was utter shite last season, a lucky striker at best but I'm starting to see promise in him. He's no world beater though but if he keeps banging in the goals then he's on the right road.

He wasn't shit last season because just look at the Osasuna and Racing games for example infact he was fantastic towards the end of last season and this season he has been Real Madrids best player by a mile and fully deserves to be in the Argentina squad.

To be fair Higuain has looked brilliant this season after RVN's injury, he has stepped up and scored a lot of goals in crucial games. I don't see any incredible talent in him, and I don't think he merits a place in the Argentina squad ahead of Lavezzi despite his better recent form, so I think in the long run he will struggle to succeed at the highest level as Real Madrid will always want better.

Imo Higuain's best shot at reaching the highest level is to move to Serie A asap, and hopefully recreate what his fellow Argentine and former Madridista Cambiasso has done. His game is more suited to Serie A and finishers like Higuain are more respected and appreciated in Italy. A summer move to Milan would be a great move for all parties. Pato and Higuain could become a real special partnership, and Higuain could follow in Inzaghi's and Shevchenko's footsteps...

Im sorry Ant but I disagree with almost everything you said there

No.1 Higuain is the future of Real Madrid

No.2 He was brilliant before RVNs injury

No.3 He has loads of talent

No.4 He is better than Lavezzi and should at least be in the Argie squad

No.5 He wont struggle to succeed at the highest level for Real Madrid in the long run because he will be one of the main stars.

No.6 Seria A? please not for many years at least

All very subjective points, I tried looking at it from an objective point of view really, as I have no real feelings about the player. You on the other hand like this bloke a lot and I can't take that away from you, we all have our favourite players and he is one of yours who you believe will succeed. Only time will tell.

I agree with Ant in that a move to Serie 'A' might do him some good. With Perez coming in, there is absolutely no guarentee that Higuain will have a regular place as Perez will sign at least one galatico forward just to increase his popularity. Add to that RVN is coming back (if he's not sold), Raul runs the club so won't be dropped, and despite his obvious talent, Higuain may find it difficult to find the starting spot he deserves.

Him and Pato up front would be incredible as well with Kaka in behind.

Winner.
