What's your team so far in the world player picking league thing?

Mine is :

??

Zanetti Matthus ?? ??

?? Keane Nedved/?? ??/Nedved

Villa ??

Unsure on whether to play Nedved in CM or LM at the moment. That depends on whether i can get a playmaking midfielder to partner Keane or not.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

If all goes to plan this will be formation. Narrower than a 10 year old's anal passage, but it will be all good.

Maybe there's somebody better who i have in mind to play in the centre? I don't even want Kaka to be fair, Homey picked him.

Winner.

Mint :hysterics:

DaGunners showing signs of unhappiness with Gerrard...hmmm :D

Ant's side is solid. On paper it is brilliant and with a few more good picks and some justification of how his side would work, he's onto something.

I have two ideas for my team now, depending on how my next few picks come out of the hat, firstly I thought of a solid 4-4-2...

GK
CAFU--CB--CB--LB
RM--REDONDO--HAGI/CM--HAGI/LM
RONALDO--BATISTUTA

But recently I've been thinking this 5-3-2 wingback system would do the trick...

---------------GK-------------
-------CB--CB--CB-----------
CAFU---------------LB--------
-----RCM--REDONDO--HAGI----
-----RONALDO--BATISTUTA---

Play with 3 cm's, 3 cb's, have two athletic wing backs, and the clinical two strikers up top, Ronaldo with pace to get onto the cm's creativity and Bati to get onto the crosses from the wingbacks and link the play with R9.

Seriously if I get my next two picks you guys are in serious trouble...

Cheers Diego, damn straight! Batistuta is the best CF of this generation, and Redondo this best DM of this generation imo. Add to that Cafu the best RB of this generation and Ronaldo the best striker of this generation, and we've got one hell of a line up on our hands.

Did you ever see Redondo play, live I mean? Would have been amazing if you saw the game vs United where he backhealed is past Berg lol. A truly defining moment of the CL...

I remember seeing that performance by him at OT. I still believe to this day that that was the best performance from a midfeilder that i've ever seen.

Shame about what happened to him at Milan
