Exactly Scholes. Bendtner is constantly involved and helps those around him so much. His movement is superb in all fairness.

Eduardo, on the other hand, is the oppostie. He is very clinical but can dissappear for large chunks of a game.

You must sit with the retards then, because Bendtner's qualities are blatantly obvious. He was in no way lazy, he was moving non stop, always making quality and really well timed runs to lose his man.

It's bang out of order the hard time he gets from the fans.
Ok, then perhaps you need to look at the role of the forward again fella?

It's to recieve the ball, hold it up (uh oh he fails), take past the defence (uh oh he fails), and finish in front of goal (you get my drift).

In essence, he is unable to master any of those skills with any degree of regularity. Sure, Kevin Davis scores the odd goal, as do other Premiership forwards in the same ilk as Bender, but NAME me another top 4 Premiership club to jump at the chance to have him in their first team?

Erm, that's right, there isn't one, which is partly (one of a number or reasons) why Arsenal are struggling to finish 4th!

YOU think I'm just being negative, for the sake of it. I am completely the opposite, rather, in just highlighting Arsenal's weaknesses in our current squad. But don't take my word for it, speak to the other gooners who pay £1220 a season to see non-topt 4 quality players like Bender fielded in front of them week in and week out, and then come back to me!

You've just made yourself sound silly mate, because Bendtner is a completely different style of player to Kevin Davies. Not all big players are the same.

DOH...I was illustrating the fact that even donkeys like Kevin Davis scores goals...doesn't make him top 4 quality! How does that make me look silly, I wasn't comparing the 2 other than their goal scoring ability...twat! :clown:

Paul, Bendtner is a link player. When you play him next to Arshavin or Van Persie he is going to struggle...

So his use is what exactly?

Arsenal get enough goal scoring opportunities, as illustrated amply today! We need a finisher, an RvN, a Shearer, an Henry, a player that can finish the job, and anyone with a bity of savvy can tell you Bender is not it!

Service from Nasri and Walcott along the wings today, and Arshavin has shown how it should be done. Enuf said!

He combined well with everybody today though. Played the ball through to Walcott for the first goal for example. I like how aware he is of his teammates runs in behind when he pulls the centre backs out.

The fact is though, Bentdner always seems to get great chances...it's not a co-incidence, he is obviously good positionally, right place right time sort of quality, and with that in his locker, he's worth giving a chance. He's only 20.
Scholes

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

Tell that to Wenger. We have Van Persie and Walcott fit, players who can both finish. But they are being deployed in creative roles most of the time. which does not play to either of their strengths.

Paul, what did you think of Denny? I thought he was fabulous. Second best player on the park for me after Shava, and this is 3 days after playing 120 mins at the highest level. That underlines two things for me:
1. Denilson has a fucking fantastic engine
2. Denilson has cemented his place as first choice
I am soft.

He has almost everything in his locker. Good movement, good link play, good aerially. But he is lacking consistency with his first touch, finishing, and being played properly.
I am soft.

:greatpost:

I'll keep saying it all night, his movement is outstanding. Not just good, but outstanding. He's an incredibly intelligent player and i still reckon that it could easily just click and he'd be banging in ridiculous amounts as well as creating loads. His technique is good, he's quick and strong, and he expresses himself on the pitch. He's just not confident in front of goal right now, but it's only a psychological problem.

Yeah I agree, Bendtner really does pop up in great positions so he must be doing something right. I think when the ball is coming his way he does be deciding how he's going to celebrate. He needs to concentrate a lot more.

I agree that Denilson played very well today. To me what I liked about him was he was forever being closed down by Blackburn players, yet still managed to make spece for himself and hold the ball up. Yes he was class today, as was Song and Arshavin!

I don't think RVP or Walcott are great finishers at all to be fair. RVP could be better if he didn't feel the need to roast every shot he takes, and Walcott is not a very cean striker of the ball.
